    CHARACTER

Name: Albus Severus Potter. Just Al is fine.
    Age/Birthdate: December 13, 2005 (20)
    House/Year: Slytherin | 2023
    Bloodline: Halfblood
    Alignment: Good
Occupation: Stockboy & Apprentice Tinkerer at WWW
    Sexuality: Heterosexual

Appearance: Al is small for his age. That's probably the first thing that most people notice about him. At 20, he barely stands at 5'4". While that may be average, Al really doesn't like being so small since it causes him to get lost in the shuffle of things. During the school year, he was often knocked down in the hallways when he was trying to get to class because most of the kids his age were so much taller than he was. It wasn't a very good feeling, and it's probably to blame for why he spends the majority of his time away from large crowds.

There's not much special about his appearance as far as he's concerned. Dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, a vaguely curious expression constantly struck across his face, Al thinks he looks just like any other nerd that someone might run across in the span of a day. He doesn't spend much time on his appearance, usually just rolling out of bed and pulling on the first thing that he pulls out of his closet (or off his floor if he doesn't happen to have any clean clothes handy).

His hair is a rather unruly mess. He's gotten to the point where he doesn't want to bother with it since it takes too much time. Sometimes he doesn't even bother to brush it and just pulls on a hat instead. Al never really got used to wearing robes. Most of his wardrobe is made up of t-shirts, jeans, and sweats. The only sets of robes that he actually owns are the ones that he uses during the school year, and they spend most of the time in his trunk or closet unless he is actually at school and required to wear them.

    PB: John Patrick Amedori

Personality: Al is naturally shy. He prefers to keep to himself and his very small group of family and friends rather than going outside of that sphere to talk to people. The majority of his friends are other Slytherins, and that's the way that he likes it. Despite his small group of friends, Al is the type of person that anyone would be able to lean on through anything. There's nothing that he wouldn't do, no length that he wouldn't go to in order to keep them safe. When faced with a tough decision, he'll make it how he sees it will be the best for everyone, even if that means sacrificing something himself. He will willingly lend a hand no matter the person or the circumstances, even if he doesn't really know them very well. Al has a seemingly endless supply of patience that aids him when it comes to dealing with his frustrations, no matter what they may be about.

Albus is also trusting, far too trusting. He'll put stock in almost anyone especially if they've given him some sort of reason to. Usually these reasons are flimsy and wouldn't hold up as a valid argument to why he should trust a specific person with...well, anything. Being in Slytherin, this has proved to be a rather dangerous weakness as he's been used one too many times because of it. But he's getting better at recognizing those that are willing to take advantage and those that are actually looking out for both their own interest and his. He's learning. Slowly but surely.

Many people often questioned the validity of his placement in Slytherin because he doesn't outwardly seem the type that would fit into the House, but if you truly search deeper than his outward appearances, it's easy to see how he's a Slytherin. While he's not exactly the most ambitious person on the face of the earth, when it comes to what truly matters to him, he is more than willing to do the things that it takes to achieve that and has no intention to be anything less than the best. He is never afraid to think big when it came to projects or ambitions. Encouraged by his family, even if they thought that some of his ideas were rather off the wall, Al's ingenuity thrived, and he won't hesitate to bore someone for hours on end with explanations of his newest idea or latest creation. While most of his ideas aren't the least bit practical or functional, that doesn't stop him. He dives right into his projects with extreme gusto for his work and a passion that is hard to find anymore. His mother often referred to him as a wayward dreamer, someone who had to understand the reality of life before they can get off of the ground. But Al seems to be taking his own reality and making it just fine.

Despite his passion and determination in what he does, Al can't help but think that he's lacking in some rather severe way. The youngest boy int he family and constantly bullied and taunted by his older brother James, Albus has always second guessed himself over fears that James may be right, and he's really nothing more than a dinky little leftover, an accident, and someone that will only be a disappointment and a blight on the family. His sorting into Slytherin only exacerbated that problem, and while he's more than happy with where he is, he understands how it looks to the good majority of the rest of his family. Especially his Uncle Ron. There are days that Albus feels like he'd rather sink into the floor and disappear than deal with his life and the demands that he has on him. But he soldiers forever because that's what he is supposed to do.

Al is most definitely stubborn, in more ways than one. Al is the type who won't do anything that he doesn't want to do or doesn't find necessary for his own enrichment or well being. This was something that he was only willing to drop for the his family and friends. No matter how much he wants to strangle himself at any of their requests, he'll grudgingly agree to do them. His second stubborn trait is that when he sees something or someone that he wants, he will go after it relentlessly, no matter how much that thing is out of reach, how much that person resists, or how much his parents might protest. In the end, Al will get his way. No matter what it takes.
